Spring Semester Course Registration
First-year student course registration for the Spring semester will take place in November. The Office of the Registrar will assign every student a date and time to begin their registration. This information will be posted in your student's MyNova portal. Prior to this date, there are a few things that you can encourage your Wildcat to do so they are registration ready!
-
Attend a “Get Registration Ready” workshop hosted by the Office of Registrar (each of the colleges will host these events prior to class registration).
-
Visit Degree Works in MyNova to audit their classes so far.
- Create registration plans in MyNova (it's always helpful to have a couple of plans in place in case preferred classes/times fill).
- Schedule a meeting with their academic advisor. (This meeting is required and should be used to review academic plans, secure course selection approval and receive their pin to register for classes.)

First-year students are invited to “escape” from campus for a weekend of discovering friendship, exploring faith and values and energizing themselves to make the most of their time at Villanova. Intentionally placed halfway between midterms and finals, this getaway will take place off campus during the weekend of November 8-10. Sound like something your Wildcat would benefit from? Encourage them to learn more and register using this link. Scholarship support is available. Retreat-related questions can be directed to Kiva Nice-Webb, our Campus Minister for Retreats.

Navigating Election Season
With the 2024 elections on the horizon, #LetsVoteNova have been working hard to educate our Wildcats about registering to vote and where they can cast their ballot in November—for on-campus resident students who register to vote in Pennsylvania, it’s right here at the John and Joan Mullen Center for the Performing Arts.
Student Life has collaborated with a number of University departments to create an Election Resource website, offering a schedule of events, information about conversation groups and listening circles, and details about Villanova’s policies related to election-related activities.

... Villanova Can Help Students Find Faith Communities?
Villanovans are encouraged to find their faith community. They can explore or deepen their connection with Catholicism or discover other faith communities on campus and in our surrounding area. Students can also contact Julie Sheetz, Mission and Ministry’s Director of Multifaith Ministry, to learn more about other congregations in the area, to get help with transportation and more.

... We Have Resources for Families?
The University Counseling Center has curated a list of helpful resources for families as they support their Wildcats. Visit their website to explore some of these helpful support materials. Our Title IX Office also has resources to guide families when discussing healthy relationships and sexual violence prevention with their Villanovans.

Villanova students, faculty, staff and alumni use phrases, acronyms and other terms in communication and during events. We thought you might want to get in the loop, too!
The Pennsylvania Special Olympics Fall Festival will be held Friday, Nov. 1-Sunday, Nov. 3, right here on campus! Thousands of athletes and volunteers will gather for the largest annual student-run Special Olympics event in the world, now in its 36th year at Villanova. We encourage you, our Villanova Family, to get involved at any point throughout the weekend. Click here to learn how you can support the teams in competition and celebrate victories big and small during Fall Festival.
Cat Kits are free, limited-edition boxes centered around different aspects of well-being. Each box includes goodies, tools, information and resources to help your Wildcat thrive in their Villanova experience! This month’s Cold and Flu Cat Kit features items your student can use if/when they aren’t feeling so great. Students can register for the Early Alert e-mail to learn about each month’s Cat Kit ahead of everyone else.
