Important Billing and Financial Aid Information

The Bursar Office will start adding fall charges July 24. To help answer some common questions, please visit the Financial Aid website. Here you will find FAQs on aid disbursement, viewing billing statements, financial aid tips, options for more aid, and more.
Time is of the essence if you need to apply for a Parent or Grad PLUS Loan, or a private alternative loan, as it takes at least 2-6 weeks to complete the process. If you are one of many who have suffered a significant loss of income this year, please read the FAQ on whether you can have your financial aid package reviewed.

University Housing updates and reminders

University Housing assignments started to be released on Friday, July 9 and can be found in your student's MyHousing portal. Assignments will continue to be released on a rolling basis every Friday, so if your student hasn’t gotten theirs yet, keep calm and make sure they check their UWM email! Read more here for some things to know for incoming students, whether they have or have not yet been assigned.

Meet Ashley, a Public Health student at UWM!

“I had never heard of public health as a major and I loved how it could be involved in healthcare but not heavy in the science aspect. It is a perfect mixture of health, social sciences, statistics, environmental factors, etc. that really sparked my interest. For me, one of the most prominent aspects of public health that I have learned is that it can be applied to all sorts of aspects in our daily lives. I am constantly thinking to myself 'What can be done to improve …' or 'How can changing this help these people'. I can learn how to fix one thing that can later snowball into many others and that is what I love about it. I am motivated by countless opportunities that the field presents. It has so much to offer for all types of interests and motivations.” Learn more about Public Health at UWM!
