Sidewalk Closure at Entrance to Valley

Portions of the sidewalk along the south side of Ken Caryl Ave. at the entrance to the Valley will be replaced starting this week and are scheduled to be completed by the end of October. The path will be closed throughout the construction, and the adjacent lane of Ken Caryl Ave. will be closed periodically. We apologize for the inconvenience.

IREA to Host Free Dinner at Ranch House Featuring Director Mike Kempe

On Wednesday, Oct. 22, Intermountain Rural Electric Association (IREA) will be hosting a member dinner at the Ken-Caryl Ranch House featuring IREA Director Mike Kempe. Guests of the dinner will receive a presentation from Mike regarding the latest developments at IREA and will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the rural electric utility serving much of the Ken-Caryl community, including all of the Valley and North Ranch. The meal is provided free of charge, and the event provides a unique opportunity for IREA customers to hear directly from a member of the Board of Directors regarding issues that impact them. Several IREA staff members will also be in attendance to answer questions. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with a brief presentation and time for questions and answers to follow. Space for this event is limited, so if you would like to attend, please RSVP to Leslie Worthington at 720-733-5478 or lworthington@irea.coop. RSVPs must be received by Oct. 15.

Family Fright Night and Haunted Trail

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is excited to announce that the annual Halloween Haunted Trail event has been expanded this year! The event will be Friday, Oct. 24 from 5-8 p.m. First, come to Dakota Lodge to play spooky games, enter the costume contest, paint a pumpkin, and learn about some creepy creatures that are associated with Halloween. Then take the shuttle to Bradford Park (leaves every 20 minutes) to trick-or-treat at some animal homes throughout the red rocks. Find out the myths and truths about these animals. After the walk, gather at the Bradford amphitheater for hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows (fire conditions permitting). This fun family Halloween event is for all ages. The cost for residents is $10 per adult, $8 per youth or $30 for a family of four. Non-residents are $12 for adults, $10 for youth or $35 for a family of four. Register Online for Course No. 29286 or by calling 303-979-4070.
