Public Board Meeting Recap

On November 20, we hosted our annual public board meeting in which we welcomed the community to our hospital to meet our board members and leadership team, learn about updates on our services, and share their questions and concerns about access to healthcare in Las Cruces and Doña Ana County.

We are thankful to the community members who joined us, as it was encouraging to hear the passion our community has for strengthening healthcare services across Southern New Mexico. Many items were discussed, from workplace safety and mental health services to hospital billing and insurance. Our Board members, leadership team and City and County partners listened and learned about ways we can better support our patients, community and team members.
We all share an unwavering focus to enhance and expand our community’s access to high-quality care.

New PET/CT Unit Now Open Full-Time

MMC’s new PET/CT unit is now operational, making us the only facility in Las Cruces offering full-time PET/CT services. This equipment provides the community with a variety of scans and services, and also provides rapid reports within 48 hours of scan completion.
The addition of this imaging modality and availability represents an important and necessary service that MMC is able to offer to our community and region. This technology is an important tool in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other conditions.

Wallace Kerby, MHA, RRT, Appointed
To State Advisory Board

Congratulations to Memorial’s Director of Respiratory Therapy, Wallace Kerby, MHA, RRT, on his appointment to the New Mexico Advisory Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners. The Board ensures that the respiratory care practice professionals in the state are properly trained and qualified to provide complex medical procedures and care in the area of cardiopulmonary technology.

Wallace has been a member of the MMC team since October 2021 and has proven to be an excellent leader who ensures our patients breathe easier and live healthier lives.

Happy Holidays And Healthy Wishes For 2025!

As the holiday season is upon us, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued support of MMC in the last year. The camaraderie and care that Las Crucens have for each other resonates throughout our entire community and the walls of the hospital.

Our team at MMC is honored to care for the Las Cruces and Doña Ana community year after year, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the year ahead as we celebrate 75 years of making communities healthier. May your holiday season be happy and healthy!
