Mark A. Lewis, MDmedical oncologist, is Director of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Intermountain Healthcare in Murray, Utah. Dr. Lewis has a very unique story for a NET expert! During his medical training, he diagnosed himself with multiple endocrine neoplasia type-1 (MEN1) and so has a particular and deeply personal interest in hereditary tumor syndromes. Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors were found when Dr. Lewis had an endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) in 2009. In 2017 he underwent a Whipple surgical procedure to remove his tumors.
This Facebook LIVE event will be hosted by Rain Bennett, a longtime CCF filmmaker and dear friend of the NET community. To view the program come to CCF's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Carcinoid/, at noon Eastern Time. There is no need to register and there is no special link.
Viewers are welcome to pose questions for Dr. Lewis during the live program.
