How can a librarian help you?

There is so much information to sift through!  We know that sometimes it's tough to know where to begin.  Not only can we help you get started, we can help you find and evaluate resources for your assignments and projects.  Our offices are on the main floor of the Library in the Research Help area. We're available in person, via chat, email, Zoom, etc.. We look forward to working with you!
People you should know!

Meet Janine Glathar, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist

How I help students:  My job involves integrating GIS and spatial thinking across the curriculum. On any given day you’ll find me teaching a lesson or lab in a class and/or working with students on class projects like creating a storymap. I also work with students on research (honors theses, research with faculty members, independent summer research, etc.). Much of my time is spent meeting with students for individual consults to help with assignments or projects.  Contact me at: jlg046@bucknell.edu
Fun fact: I was a Russian Lit/European History major as an undergrad and lived and worked in Russia and Lithuania for several years in my 20’s before making a career switch to Geography & GIS.
