Journey vs Heart
Journey is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1973, composed of former members of Santana and Frumious Bandersnatch. The band has gone through several phases; its strongest commercial success occurred between 1978 and 1987. During that period, the band released a series of hit songs, including the song playing in your head right now thinking about Journey - Don't Stop Believin'
At the same time, Heart, an American rock band that first found success in Canada and later in the United States and worldwide. Over the group's five-decade history, it has had three primary lineups, with the constant center of the group since 1973 being sisters Ann Wilson (lead singer) and Nancy Wilson (guitarist). Heart rose to fame in the mid-1970s with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal, as well as folk music.
Both bands are known for soaring vocals, incredible riffs, drum and guitar solos, and there will be much meatiness here for students to dive into, not-to-mention some ear worms.
