LIVE Faculty Recognized

Congratulations to Gautam Biswas on being named a recipient of the prestigious Joe B. Wyatt Distinguished University Professor Award. Dr. Biswas’s work is a powerful example of what becomes possible when learning sciences and advanced computational methods are deeply integrated. Across his career, he has designed intelligent, open-ended learning environments that help students engage with complex STEM ideas through exploration, problem-solving, and reflection. His research has also advanced multimodal learning analytics and data mining methods for understanding students’

learning behaviors and expanded how we study individual and team performance in complex learning settings. This award recognizes a career marked by methodological innovation, intellectual generosity, and a sustained commitment to improving learning, and we are thrilled to see this great recognition of the work done by Dr. Biswas, a LIVE core faculty member.
