Welcome to our May 2024 edition of the Natural Resources Institute newsletter! As spring is in full bloom in Wisconsin, so are our programs, staff, and the many students engaged in community-driven research and outreach initiatives across the state. In this edition, we are thrilled to share stories from our programs and highlight the ways in which we are deepening our campus and community partnerships that strengthen our collaborative impact and stewardship of the natural resources of our state. We hope you can join us in one of the many programs ahead this summer!

The students on our team are an important part of the work we do at NRI. We’d like to acknowledge Chloe Hansen for her work this past year on writing for our blog and creating our email newsletters. We wish her well as she heads to study abroad next semester.
“It’s been very fulfilling to create blog posts and this newsletter for Extension NRI. I’ve learned so much about the importance of community in natural resources from various coworkers from the Communications Unit to Natural Resources Educators, and I hope you all join me in following Extension NRI as it continues to embody the Wisconsin Idea!”
