Special guest, Dr. Marlon L. Gibson, will be presenting several breakout sessions for College of Education students, faculty and staff on February 27 and 28th.  

Gibson is a high impact speaker and currently serves as the director of Community Engagement for Kappa Alpha Order.

The theme for Dr. Gibson's visit is The Catalyst for Community, sessions will  include topics on cultural competence and community building.  Watch for invitations to specific events via email.

Dr. John R. Slate, Professor, and Dr. Clare A. Resilla, Assistant Professor, of the Department of Educational Leadership, and Dr. Tershundrea Branch, Assistant Professor, of the Department of Counselor Education had their book, A Practical Guide To Writing Your Dissertation, published by the ICPEL Publication.

The International Council of Professors of Educational Leadership (ICPEL) is an organization committed to serving professors of educational administration and practicing school leaders through the practice and study of educational administration. Most recently, our college dean, Dr. Stacey Edmonson, was appointed as the new executive director.

ICPEL publishes extensive and broad-based peer-reviewed publications.
