| Christian Holmes Wins State Tennis TitleCongratulations to Christian Holmes, Chatfield senior and Ken-Caryl resident, for winning the No. 1 singles state title in tennis again! Christian’s win makes him the first boys tennis player from Jeffco to win the title twice.

Metropolitan District Draft Budget
The 2019 Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Draft Budget is now available at the link below. The public hearing on the proposed budget will open at the next MD Board meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 6 p.m., when the Board will be discussing the draft in detail. The final adoption of the budget will occur in December. You can provide feedback on the draft budget at the meeting or by contacting Melissa Daruna at melissad@kcranch.org or 303-979-1876, ext. 136.

Master Association Draft BudgetThe Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Board is waiting until after the Metropolitan District mill levy election to adopt its budget and determine the 2019 dues level. At this time, the draft budget assumes that the MD mill levy vote will pass, and if that is the case, the MA would be considering a $1 dues increase. The Board will be discussing the budget at its Oct. 16 Board meeting at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House and adopting the budget at the Wednesday, Nov. 7 Board meeting at 7 p.m. at the Ranch House. Political Signage PolicyJust a quick reminder to follow the Ken-Caryl Ranch Political Signage Policy during election season. The full policy is linked below, but here are some highlights:
- Professionally made signs will be allowed on private property only (including property owned by the Master Association, with Board approval) with approval of the private property owner no more than 45 days prior to the day of the election and must be removed within one week after the election.
- Political signs may not be attached to fences.
- Political signs on any owner’s property are limited to one per office or ballot issue.
- Political signs may not be attached to utility boxes, light poles, traffic signals or trees.

Mill Levy Information NightDate: Tuesday, Oct. 16
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Ranch House (upstairs)
The "Ken-Caryl Ranch Residents in Favor of the 2018 Mill Levy Increase" Issues Committee is holding an Information Night on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. upstairs at the Ranch House. This group is made up of and run by volunteers. While staff members cannot campaign for the mill levy, they can be in attendance to answer questions at the event held by volunteers.

Fee: Resident $60, Non-Resident $75
Certification for boys and girls 11-13 years of age. Bring a sack lunch and drink. You must stay for the entire time to become certified.

Celebrate Halloween with a costume contest, spooky crafts and more haunted fun at Family Fright Night at Dakota Lodge. Then join us on the Haunted Trail for a family-friendly hike by the Bradford Pool where we will meet some not-so-scary local wildlife who will teach us about life in our open space. All ages welcome.
