Physician COVID-19 Call on April 9

Join us for a statewide virtual meeting

The Nashville Academy of Medicine is partnering with the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) and the other three metropolitan medical societies in the state, the Memphis Medical Society, the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society, and the Knoxville Academy of Medicine, to host a statewide CME call for physicians.  Infectious disease specialist Manoj Jain, M.D., and leaders from the TN Department of Health will be online to present new data and information to assist medical communities across Tennessee as we prepare to face the surge of COVID-19 cases and demands on our resources.

Coronavirus Resource Center

We have created a simple COVID-19 Resource Center to help with questions about coding, patient triage and other valuable information for your practice. We will keep this page up to date with additional resources and link to experts in these areas.

Tennessee Professional Screening Questionnaire

Stress and anxiety affect us all. This voluntary and anonymous questionnaire will help you assess your current state of mental health and well-being. Once completed, a licensed mental health professional will provide you with a personalized response.

This website and the services offered are intended for physicians both currently licensed to practice or in training in Tennessee. Participation is completely voluntary and anonymous. Taking this questionnaire cannot and will not result in any licensure board investigation or action. We want to offer this to our members during this unsettling time. If you feel this tool would be helpful for you, visit tn.providerwellness.org.

Professional Privilege Tax Due Date Extended

The Tennessee Department of Revenue has extended the due date for filing and paying the professional privilege tax from June 1, 2020 to July 1, 2020. Interest and late filing penalties will not be applied to returns filed and payments made on or before this extended due date. TMA House of Delegates Postponed

The TMA Board of Trustees has voted to postpone the TMA Annual Meeting originally scheduled for May 15-17, in the best interests of our members and the patients we serve. Tentative plans are to reschedule the Annual Meeting and House of Delegates later in the year. When plans are finalized, we will communicate with our delegates and members. For all members who had made hotel reservations, Marriott has indicated they will cancel these, but individuals should verify.
