Our teams have been working hard to update the Town of Normal website, and the new look launched this week.
The site includes new features to make it easier than ever to find what you need. A summary is provided below. Visit normalil.gov and check it out!
We've got new designs inside and out. This week, Council approved the purchase of four sculptures for the planned Sculpture Garden at One Normal Plaza. Learn more below.

This month, we welcomed nearly 7,000 people to the Sugar Creek Arts Fest. And, Illinois State Homecoming festivities brought in many more! We have a lot of Halloween festivities still to come - mark your calendars! Truly, Uptown Normal is the place to be.

| The Town's website has been refreshed with a new design and features to help you find what you need, including:

Crisp Design: Updates provide a brighter, more contemporary and streamlined user experience.
- Additional Navigation: Fixed side-navigation buttons remain on the left of every single page, making it easier than ever to visit some of the site's most-frequented locations.
- Accessibility Tools: New options provide users the ability to personalize their experience with text and font choices.
- Updated News Offerings: (below) "Spotlights" offer the most recent news, "News Releases" provide more detail, and "Road Closures" put this information at the touch of a button. For those who want it all, "View All News" remains available.

Art To Bloom in Sculpture Garden |
|
|
At the Oct. 20 meeting, the Normal Town Council approved a $69,750 purchase of four pieces of permanent art for the planned sculpture park at 1110 Douglas St., Normal, near the Community Activity Center at One Normal Plaza.

College-Landmark Work Nears Completion |
|
|
The $2.7 million project at the intersection of College Avenue and Landmark Drive to increase capacity, efficiency and safety is on target for completion in mid-November.
This project installed new traffic signals and widened College Avenue east of Landmark Drive to allow for a second left turn lane.
More than 18,000 vehicles travel through the intersection each day. The project included:

- 2,550 tons of gravel
- 2,050 tons of hot-mix asphalt
- 2,650 square yards of concrete pavement
- 3,000 feet of curb and gutter
- 6,800 feet of pavement striping
- 10,100 feet of electric cables for the signals
