Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
I am delighted to return to my role as Provost and look forward to working with you all more closely as we prepare for the upcoming academic year.
While I am still in Europe for another week rediscovering the power of connecting with scholars, students and academics from across the world, I am thrilled to share some important news that cannot wait for my return: our accreditation has been reaffirmed by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education!
Our next self-study evaluation will be in the 2031-32 Academic Year. This reaccreditation is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire community. I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone and a special THANK YOU to all who played a role in helping Seton Hall achieve this milestone. There are too many people to mention because the entire community worked in synch. Once again, as we have demonstrated throughout the history of our beloved University, we can go very far when we come together. We have also learned a lot during the self-assessment process, and we look forward to implementing the improvements that will continue to make us an even greater community.
As we embark on our 2024-25 academic journey, I invite you to join us on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 4 p.m. in the University Center’s Event Room for Faculty Convocation. A reception will follow immediately afterward in Bethany Hall. This special event is an excellent opportunity to welcome new faculty to the University and recognize those being honored for promotion and tenure.
A presto (see you soon),
Katia
