Health insurance is vital for accessing needed health care services, but wide disparities in coverage exist for Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) patients depending on where they live. Unsurprisingly, HCH programs in states that expanded Medicaid have much higher rates of insured patients compared to states that did not; however, even states that expanded Medicaid still have barriers to coverage.
