We hope you're staying cozy this winter season! February is here and our hearts are full with our love of volunteering. We have a number of new opportunities but we are always looking or more!

If you, or someone you know works for an organization or event that focuses on food, agriculture, sustainability or the environment and are looking for volunteers please don't hesitate to reach out! 

As always, to sign up for an event this month and receive a month of free Garbage to Garden service, RSVP by email, and we will help answer any questions you may have. Remember, events are first-come, first-serve.

Community Cooks
Community Cooks mobilizes individuals, businesses, civic, educational and faith-based groups to prepare home-cooked food for vulnerable populations seeking assistance from human service agencies in the Greater Boston area. We proudly partner with these agencies that, due to lack of funds and/or facilities, struggle to provide food for those they serve.
This is a great opportunity for you if you enjoy feeding your neighbors and are looking for a regular volunteer schedule. Community Cooks is looking for regularly scheduled, monthly volunteers to help with their program.

Mass Audobon
At Mass Audubon, they believe that every person can make a positive impact on protecting the nature of Massachusetts. One enjoyable way to have an impact on the environment is by volunteering at one of their wildlife sanctuaries or at their headquarters in Lincoln.

Serve and Inspire with Somerville Public Schools
Volunteers with Somerville Public Schools serve once a week or once a month enriching and inspiring student learning and engagement. Somerville partners with community volunteers for academic tutoring and support, activities in arts, music, languages,
health and wellness, therapy dog team work, school gardens support, lunchtime food waste composting and much more!

Volunteer with Food Link!

Food Link is looking for volunteers to help on a regular basis with the collection and distribution of donated food. Volunteers generally work in groups to collect food from grocery stores and bakeries, sort the food and then deliver it to social services agencies in the area.
