AGE 52nd Annual Meeting

Join sessions from NSC3 and AFAR at the upcoming AGE meeting! 

The Nathan Shock Centers Directors Symposium will be held on June 2 from 1-4pm in Madison, WI at the 2024 AGE Meeting. The session will feature a keynote from NIA Director Richard Hodes, as well as talks on the theme of Celebrating 50 Years of NIA and 30 Years of Progress at the Nathan Shock Centers. Congratulations to Berenice Benayoun for receiving the 2024 AFAR Cristofalo Award!
Dr. Benayoun will present a Cristofalo Award Presentation on sex-dimorphic regulation of macrophage aging in mice at the AGE Annual Meeting on June 2 from 7:30-8:30pm CST.

Annual NIA Summer Training Course in Experimental Aging Research

The 31st Annual Summer Training Course provides intense exposure to current concepts in experimental aging research to approximately 20 research scientists to facilitate development of independent research programs in the basic biology of aging. Travel and accommodations are sponsored by a grant from the National Institute on Aging and meals and networking events are supported by sponsors.

The Biology of Aging and Age-Related Diseases NIH/NIA training program

This training program and expert mentoring team covers the spectrum of aging research, from mechanistic studies of the biology of aging and age-related disease to translational studies focused on diagnostics, treatments, and preventative interventions with a view to clinical application. 
Hevolution Foundation Scientific Conferences Fund
Deadlines: July 31, October 31, January 31, April 30, 
Proposals for the support of scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops relevant to the mission of the Hevolution Foundation will be considered. Up to $10,000 per meeting may be requested.
UAB NSC Exploratory Funds
Rolling deadline
For new small projects ($1,000-10,000 each) with a focus on the mechanistic hallmarks and/or energetics of aging.
