Hey, Waterville Composters!

We hope you have enjoyed your two-month trial of curbside composting with Garbage to Garden; we are happy to continue supporting your composting efforts!

We are proud to offer a program that is accessible to everyone regardless of income, and so we wanted to remind you about other ways to earn free service with Garbage to Garden throughout the year. By participating in our referral and/or volunteer programs, you are eligible to earn credits for free service.

More information on both programs is included below. Still have questions? Please don't hesitate to reach out!

Thank you,
The Garbage to Garden Team

Volunteering with Garbage to Garden

Any time a Garbage to Garden participant volunteers with one of our community partners, that participant is eligible to receive a free month of service. There is no limit to the number of times you can volunteer - in fact, some of our participants earn completely free service by volunteering just a few hours each month!

Want us to keep you in the loop on future volunteering opportunities in the Waterville area? Email us at volunteer@garbagetogarden.org to be added to our Central Maine volunteer newsletter.

We are actively seeking new volunteer partners in the Waterville area; if you know of an organization that is in need of volunteers... Let us know!

NOVEMBER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
The Alfond Youth & Community Center
...is in need of Volunteers!
We have a great new opportunity to volunteer and earn a month of free service right here in Waterville!

The Alfond Youth and Community Center will be holding the Festival of Trees through the month of November. The Festival has multiple volunteer options available but they are filling up quick, so sign up as soon as you can!
Masks are required at this event.

*Volunteers are especially needed for the weekend of
November 26-28th*

Proceeds raised at the event will benefit the Free Meal program, and will go toward local Food Security efforts (Mary Nash Beaupre Greenhouse, community gardens, and nutrition education for After School participants).

Email volunteer@garbagetogarden.org after volunteering with proof of participation, and we will credit your account for 1 month of service!
