Subway Card and Sweet Potato Collection going on now!
Subway Card and Sweet Potato Collection going on now!
November 2, 2016
Daylight Savings ends THIS SUNDAY, November 6th.  We'll gain an hour - and we'll need it, because this Sunday will be an amazing day!  Please start the day at 7:15 am with the Men's Monthly Breakfast and hear from Tony Haines about God's Promise in Haiti.  Stay for worship, and hear an update about our Mission with the Homeless; and also about our Communion Cause: Imagine No Malaria. Next, seek out our youth to find out about their sweet potato collection for MadCAAP's Thanksgiving Meal boxes. Finally, if you haven't already done so, turn in your pledge card for 2017- it's Consecration Sunday.  We're inviting everyone to gather at noon for a lunch on the grounds with salads and sandwiches catered by His Kitchen!  It will be a full and glorious day!
November's Communion Offering helps Imagine No Malaria!
Join us tonight for Dinner at 5:30 pm

Making a difference TOGETHER in 2017
Turn in a paper or online pledge card today! We will end our campaign right after this Sunday's second service with a celebratory lunch TOGETHER on the grounds.
All are welcome to join us for pimento cheese, chicken salad, or peanut butter sandwiches, as well as pasta salad, green salad and chips all supplied by HIS KITCHEN!

BIG NEWS from HIS KITCHEN this week. Not only is there a sign up for casseroles to be picked up this Monday, (for Monday's menu options CLICK HERE), but they are also taking orders for Thanksgiving side dishes to be picked up the Saturday before Thanksgiving! (November 19th)
To order Thanksgiving sides, CLICK HERE.

For this month's visit to Grace Place on Wednesday morning, November 16th, we are preparing pouches filled with chapstick, lotion, mints and messages from our youth. With YOUR help, we will also add a $10 Subway gift card to each pouch, supplying a much needed meal.  Please pick up some gift cards from a Subway location near you, or donate funds, and we will buy them for you!  Deadline: November 13th. For more information, or to volunteer to help pack the pouches, contact Juliet Huam.
Men's Ministry Monthly Breakfast Program
This Sunday, at 7:15 am
All men are invited for breakfast in The Garden to hear a facinating program by Tony Haines introducing you to his mission: God's Promise in Haiti. This is particularly timely, as Haiti is in the midst of recovering from Hurricane Matthew.
November's Communion Offering supports IMAGINE NO MALARIA.  The people of the United Methodist Church helped CUT IN HALF the rate of deaths from malaria in 2015.  Thanks to you, there is hope!
LET'S FINISH THE JOB.
