The Kairos Inside event for which Team 37 has been training for weeks is happening right NOW!  If you signed for the prayer vigil, PLEASE PRAY!  If you didn't, PLEASE PRAY!  The women shown above, including our own Marilyn Katz and Linda Irby, will spend the rest of this week at The Central Mississippi Correctional Facility, sharing the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus with the women inmates. Their goal is to create and sustain a strong, supportive Christian community within the prison. God will hear and use your prayers to remind someone in prison that He has not forsaken them, but is present and loves them.  PLEASE PRAY!
Sharing meals together is an important part of strengthening ties and building a strong, close-knit group. Jesus sets that example for us again and again throughout the Gospel. We have a long standing tradition of food and fellowship within our youth group. Please help us continue that tradition by signing up to provide dinner for the youth one Sunday evening this fall.
Our youth aren’t picky, and they are always grateful for the love shared with them through these meals. Need some ideas?  Think about easy meals like sloppy joes, chili, sandwich trays, baked potato bar, hot dogs, tacos, or chicken spaghetti. The youth meet from 5-6 pm in Youth Room, on the second floor of the Education Building. Bring the food around 5:50 pm, then stay and eat with us to enjoy the food and fellowship.  Please prepare enough for 20 people.  Thank you!

The planning team for a youth mission trip has been working to research the possibility of an overseas mission trip to Costa Rica. An informational meeting for all youth, their parents, and anyone else in the church who might be interested in joining us will be held on Wednesday, October 12, at 6:15 pm in the Open Doors class room.
