NC State Air Force ROTC Cadets Learn New Skills at Summer Programs

At NC State, Air Force ROTC cadets are encouraged to seek out and pursue opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skill sets, particularly in the form of summer Professional Development Training (PDT) programs. This past summer, several cadets from ROTC Detachment 595 at NC State got a chance to participate in programs across the country.

  • The third annual Pantry Bowl between NC State and UNC-Chapel Hill runs through Nov. 26. This friendly competition, won by NC State last year, will see which university can rally the most gifts to its campus food pantry.
  • Wellness and Recreation has wellness tips to help students and staff during the upcoming holidays.
  • Nominate colleagues for the 2024 Awards for Excellence.
  • Stop by Talley 3140 (arts suite) to see two new case exhibits created by Gregg Museum collections interns Sophie Blankenship (One Fish, Two Fish…) and Lee Chavis-Tartaglia (A Beadiful World).
  • Need something fun (and free!) to do with your visiting relatives later this week? The Gregg Museum will be open on Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Macy’s parade is not the only place you can see giant balloons this year.
  • Spring 2024 crafts class registration opens on Monday, Nov. 27 at 9 a.m. for NC State students and Monday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. for staff, faculty and the public. Classes fill up quickly.
  • Experience dance and music performances at NC State! Tickets for all Department of Performing Arts and Technology fall 2023 concerts are now available for purchase through Ticket Central.
  • Reminder: Flu shots are free and available for NC State staff through appointments at the Campus Health Center, or walk-in clinics across campus until December. See a full schedule for clinics here.
