| We continue to receive alerts from homeowners notifying us of bear sightings in the neighborhood.
Remember, trash cans must remain inside until 6 a.m. on collection day. Bears can be attracted to the neighborhood by trash being left out overnight. Click here to learn more about how to bear proof your home from Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Green Tip | Forever Chemicals |
PFAS, or per and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, are artificial chemicals commonly used in a variety of products, such as non-stick cookware, water resistant clothing and furniture, dental floss, and firefighting foam. PFAS are linked to many health and environmental concerns and are referred to as "forever chemicals" because they are very difficult to destroy. Last month, Colorado passed a law to begin phasing out sales of products containing PFAS, beginning in 2026 through 2028. This law will impact many of the brands of items we purchase, from raincoats to dental floss to ski wax. Although many brands are gradually eliminating toxic chemicals in their products, Colorado hopes that new legislation will motivate companies to seek alternative materials sooner rather than later. The slide is now closed for the season and there will not be lifeguards on duty – swim at your own risk! The rec pool will continue to stay open as weather permits. We will send updates through September as temperatures change and leaves start to fall.
Now that summer staff is gone, please be extra mindful of only using the towels you need and cleaning up after yourselves at the pool.
The Snack Bar will no longer be serving hot food.
Thank you for another amazing summer at the RVR pool!
