Greetings to the NESA Community - we hope you have all been enjoying the summer and have filled your days keeping busy with your favorite activities! While summer isn't over yet, we wanted to let you know that we are putting the final touches on our Fall 2023 programming and are very excited to share our plans with you.
We are almost ready with the details so stay tuned for the next email where we will be sending you all of the Fall 2023 season information you want to know! In the meantime, here are a few updates for you:
Summer Season Success!
What a wonderful seven weeks it has been with our members and instructors this summer - a big thank you to everyone who participated in our summer season and/or joined us on outings. We hope you enjoyed your classes and your time with fellow members!
NESA Summer Office Hours: Updated
Effective Monday, August 21 through to Friday, September 1, 2023 NESA's temporary office hours will be:
8:30am-3:00pm Monday through Friday
Reminder: NESA's office is temporarily located in the McClure United Church (13708 74 Street)
NESA Fall Office Hours
Effective Tuesday, September 5, 2023, NESA's temporary office hours will be:
9:00am-3:00pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
The office will be closed on Wednesdays.
Fall 2023 Program Guide and Registration Details
The program guide will be available online and via hard-copy starting Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 8:30am. A copy of the guide will also be sent via email to everyone subscribed to NESA's email list.
As expected, the planning for next season has been very challenging due to NESA's temporary relocation across multiple facilities. As a result, it has taken a great deal of time to confirm the details for our Fall 2023 season. We thank you for your patience during this time.
To maximize the period of time that NESA can offer program registration for (and to ensure we meet program enrollment minimums), registration will open, online and in-person, as soon as the guide is released.
The majority of our programs are scheduled to start during the week of September 11, 2023 - we hope you will plan to join us!
NESA Book Donations and Future Book Sales
Now that we are all moved in and organized at the McClure United Church, we are pleased to inform you that we are now able to accept select book donations.
If you have any pocketbooks or hard/soft cover books, please feel free to drop them off to the Church during our scheduled office hours.
Please note: We are not currently accepting magazines at this time.
'Lil Book Sale' Schedule
As we start to accumulate your book donations, we are hopeful to begin scheduling weekly book sales in the coming weeks.
These sales are tentatively scheduled to begin at the McClure United Church on Mondays from 9am-3pm, located in the basement.
Our first book sale is scheduled for Monday, September 18, 2023.
Sales will be processed in the upstairs NESA office. Cash sales only.
Please Note: To prevent program disruption, you will be required to take the lift down to the basement to access the book room.
Bottle Drive
Our next bottle drive will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 8:30am-12:00pm at the Steele Heights Community Hall parking lot.
