Founded in 1932, RIPEC is a nonpartisan and nonprofit public policy research organization dedicated to advancing fiscally responsible government, competitive tax policies and economic opportunities for all in Rhode Island.

Throughout the year, RIPEC puts together objective research and analysis addressing critical challenges facing Rhode Island including: state finance, tax policy, municipal finance, the economy, K-12 education and housing. These reports help inform elected officials and policy makers in Rhode Island.

Ben Rackliffe Elected to Rhode Island Community Food Bank Board of Directors

PLDO Partner Ben Rackliffe was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. As nearly 40% of Rhode Island households face food insecurity, the Community Food Bank’s mission to provide healthy, nutritious food to those in need has never been more important.

Pie it Forward

Our Boca Raton team sold 28 pies in support of the Meals on Wheels ‘Pie it Forward’ campaign this month. Each pie sold funds a week of meals for a local homebound senior and veteran. Since its inception in 2015, the ‘Pie It Forward’ campaign has raised nearly 1.5 million dollars and provided 300,000 meals and wellness checks to homebound seniors and veterans throughout Palm Beach County. We’ll see you at the dessert table!

Palm Beach Turkey Trot

To burn off all that pie, the Boca team is running in the Palm Beach Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. We’re proud to be a sponsor of this beloved community event in support of the United Way of Palm Beach. Funds raised from the Turkey Trot provide holiday meals to individuals and families in need throughout Palm Beach County.
