-
SF YouthWorks. SF YouthWorks is a paid internship program for 11th and 12th grade students. Participants are matched with mentors who work in City departments, earn $19.18 per hour, and build real-world job skills through workshops and trainings. They also go on field trips and college tours, explore different careers, and give back to their communities. Students can build leadership skills through the Youth Leadership Team and get support as they plan for life after high school.

2027 Art on Market Street Poster Series
The San Francisco Arts Commission is seeking U.S.-based artists and artist teams to apply for the 2027 Art on Market Street Poster Series. Four artists will each create a series of at least six original images responding to the theme “Market Street: The Next 175 Years,” imagining the future of this iconic San Francisco corridor through the start of the 23rd century. Each series will be displayed for three months in 15 bus shelters along Market Street. The artist budget is $12,000, inclusive of design and production of digital files (printing and installation are covered separately). The project aligns with the 2027 Further Triennial and invites artists to envision the future of Market Street while reflecting Northern California’s legacy of bold creativity and unconventional thinking.

| Fillmore Community Action Plan Workshop: Health
The Fillmore/Western Addition is the heart of San Francisco’s Black cultural life. For generations, it has been home to vibrant Black, Japanese, and Jewish communities, a rich blend reflected in its music, businesses, festivals, and landmarks. However, urban renewal and redevelopment in the mid-20th century displaced Black residents, disrupting community ties and leaving lasting impacts that are still felt today.
|
|
|
The Fillmore Community Action Plan (FCAP) is a partnership between the City and community members to create lasting, community-driven change. Through engagement, collaboration and consensus, the FCAP will build a roadmap for meaningful short and long-term investments that honor the Fillmore’s history and uplifts its future.
Join community members, City staff, and local partners at the FCAP: Health Workshop to gather community expertise, and help inform the strategies and actions that will be developed for the FCAP. Food and refreshments will be provided.
🗓️Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm at the African American Arts & Culture Complex, 762 Fulton Street
