2026 Teacher of the Year Gala |
62 honorees and six finalists were honored at the Disneyland Hotel this November at the 2026 Orange County Teacher of the Year gala hosted by the OC Department of Education. Of those honorees were Cypress College's Francisco Perez and NOCE's Helen Serrano, and of the six finalists was Dr. Catherine Reinhardt-Zacair from Fullerton College! We are so proud that faculty from all three schools of the District were recognized for embodying this year's theme "Lighting the Way".
Each finalist received a $25,000 award from the Orange County Teachers of the Year Award Foundation, established by William, Jeff and Jennifer Gross. In addition, 10 semifinalists were awarded $7,500, and the remaining honorees each received $5,000 for their contributions to education.
