A Message from Alumni Council

Dear Denisonian‚
As an alumnus, married to a Dension alumna, and parent of two Densionians, it goes without saying that I have a deep fondness for our “fair college on The Hill.”
Indeed, Denison has never been stronger, and it is an exciting time to be connected to our college. I say this with confidence, having the privilege to serve on the Alumni Council.
Much of Denison’s strength comes from its active alumni base. We thank those alumni who stay connected to our university, not only through financial support but also through service to and volunteering for Denison. We look forward to your participation in upcoming events, including DU Good Day 2022 in April, Denison Everywhere in May, and Reunion Weekend in June. If you don’t see your city listed for DU Good Day or Denison Everywhere, be the one to coordinate an event in your area! Just email Alumni & Family Engagement to serve as a host. What a great way to reconnect with the Denison community in your area.
With more than 12,000 student applications this year, a 28% increase over last year’s record and a 150% surge over the last few years, Denison is truly excelling. We will welcome 620 new students for the 2022-23 academic year. These students will embark on a life-changing experience similar to the one we fondly remember — a journey of lifelong relationships, self-discovery, and skill-building unequaled by other colleges.
Yes, Denison is thriving, in large part, because of our loyal alumni. Just as Denison has profoundly influenced the trajectory of my life, it continues to have an undeniable and positive impact on today’s outstanding students.
I hope to see you soon on The Hill!
Wishing you well,
Mark Morawski ’90
