FAFSA is open - apply early.  Reminder that our preferred filing deadline is 3/15; however, FAFSA is open now and Stetson Office of Student Financial Aid will begin releasing continuing student awards for 2026-2027 very soon!

Verified account username and password (FSA ID)

Parent or spouse contributor name, date of birth, Social Security number, and email address

Income and asset information (if required)

You can apply online by following these steps:

1. Go to studentaid.gov

2. Hover over FAFSA Form

3. Click on Complete the FAFSA form

4. Click on Start New Form

5. Log In or Create an account, and start applying

Monthly Payment Plan (MPP)
The Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) allows students to finance their net semester charges (after financial aid and scholarships) through monthly installments, with up to five payments per semester. A commitment payment is required at enrollment, and students must re-enroll in the plan each semester.

Please note:

Eligibility
Active Stetson University students with no prior balance are eligible to enroll. Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before enrolling in an MPP.

Application Fee
A non-refundable $75 enrollment fee is charged per semester for participation in the Monthly Payment Plan.

Important Note
The payment plan enrollment link will close at midnight (EST) on the dates listed above and will not reopen until the next enrollment period.

Students are encouraged to enroll before the deadlines to avoid any disruptions or issues with billing.

Need to make a schedule change for Spring? Here’s What You Need to Know

Stetson’s Self-Service Registration Period is currently open until Tuesday, January 20, 2026. At this time, you are welcome to make needed schedule adjustments in your MyStetson portal on the registration dashboard.

The Financial Aid Office will freeze your enrollment on Wednesday, January 21. To maintain eligibility for full-time awards from Stetson institutional scholarships, as well as federal and state aid programs, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours being applied to your primary degree. Students who have been approved to have their aid prorated should discuss any changes with Financial Aid before making adjustments.

Make sure to review your course schedule and financial aid status carefully before making any changes. If you are concerned about how changes could impact your financial aid package, we are here to help!

Note: If you receive a Bright Futures award as part of your financial aid offer, the award is determined by credit hour. A reduction to total hours would result in an adjustment to your current award. Below is the current rate by type:

FL Medallion Scholars – $159 per credit hour

FL Academic Scholars - $212 per credit hour

Book vouchers are available to students whose financial aid is greater than their billable charges (tuition, fees, etc.). If you have excess financial aid, you can use those funds at the campus bookstore to purchase books and supplies.

The maximum amount allowed for a book voucher is $1,000. If you need to make a larger purchase (such as a laptop), you must get special approval from our office.

Please note: Paper book vouchers may only be issued after the add/drop period has ended.

To allow someone access to your financial and other Stetson University records:

1. Log into your MyStetson portal

2. Click on the "Authorized Users" tile to complete the form

3. This is a 2-part authentication, you complete one part, then the person(s) added will complete a second part after receiving a confirmation email

The Office of Financial Aid cannot speak with anyone about a student's financial aid unless they are granted permission by the student.
