NEW VISITOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND PROCEDURESBrebeuf Jesuit is implementing new procedures for visitors to campus during the school day. The Raptor Visitor Management System is widely used in schools nationwide and is now in use at Brebeuf. Part of keeping our campus safe is knowing who is in our building at all times, and the new system will allow us to better do that providing a safer environment for our community.
The Raptor system will streamline the check-in process for all guests to the school. Visitors will simply scan an ID such as a Driver's License at the kiosk by the front doors, and the system will do a quick check to ensure that registered sex offenders are not entering the building. Then, visitors will indicate the purpose of their visit and answer a few COVID screening questions. A visitor badge will print out at the reception desk for guests to wear while in the building. On the way out, visitors scan the barcode on the visitor tag, and the system will sign the guest out. It's that simple. If a visitor does not have a government-issued ID for any reason, reception staff can use any form of identification to manually enter the guest's name into the system. Guests will still need an appointment to visit campus during the school day, and all other visitor policies will remain in effect.
The Raptor system checks the visitor's name and date of birth for comparison with a national database of registered sex offenders. This is the only database checked by the Raptor system. No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded, and the information is not shared with any outside agency.
At Brebeuf Jesuit, the safety of our students is our highest priority, and we believe this new system further enhances our security protocols. Thank you for your understanding and support of this important change.

BREBEUF JESUIT HOCKEY MIDNIGHT MADNESS DRIVE-BY
This year, like many other things, Brebeuf Jesuit Hockey's Midnight Madness will be different. But you can still come out and support your Braves who have advanced to the state championship two years in a row!
This year's game against Bloomington will take place on January 23 at 9:45 p.m. at the Carmel Ice Skadium.
While it's true that students cannot attend to cheer in person, you can still make plans to show your support during the Midnight Madness Drive-By! Students are invited to come to the south parking lot of the Carmel Ice Skadium from 8:30-9:00 p.m. Drive through, beep your horn, wear your pajamas, and let our Braves know you support them!

IGNATIAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Ignatian Scholars is a three-year program that focuses on academics, service, and leadership, with an emphasis on career exploration. Scholars are typically students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and leadership as freshmen at Brebeuf Jesuit. Students accepted into the Ignatian Scholars program are expected to apply to and complete the AP Capstone program their junior and senior years.
Ignatian Scholars have a passion to explore and develop their rich and diverse talents. They are expected to become leaders in their areas of interest and to serve their communities throughout their high school careers and beyond. This year, we are excited to expand the Ignatian Scholars class, offering this opportunity to more students. We hope to form a cohort of 40 students in the Class of 2024.
For more details about the program, please click here.
