Hello Tufts Jumbo,
You've met our staff and taken the tour. Now it's time to meet your fellow Jumbos!

This Week's News and Announcements

"What's a Jumbo?"

As an incoming Tufts students, you're part of a community that includes over 5,000 undergraduates in Arts, Sciences, and Engineering. You're also part of a larger community that includes almost 6,000 graduate and professional students, 1,500 medical and dental students, 1,200 international students, and 1,400 faculty members. We're a dynamic, passionate, inclusive group -- and we can't wait to meet you!

"What's a Student Org?"

There are over 300 Student Organizations at Tufts, and about 93% of your peers participate in one or more of them. We have groups for Arts and Performance, Media, and Club Sports, and there are plenty of leadership opportunities with our Student Government. We also have a group on campus called Another Option that specifically plans substance-free programming at Tufts.
The Office for Campus Life (OCL) supports all Student Organizations, and its team manages events and works closely with student leaders. The Tufts University Social Collective (TUSC) is a student-led branch of OCL that hosts a Film Series and plans concerts like Spring Fling. We keep all our Student Org events on a single Calendar to help you figure out where to be and when. Contact OCL any time with questions: ocl@tufts.edu.

Say Hello!

We couldn't get everyone on camera before they left for the summer, but we thought we'd introduce you to a few of your fellow Jumbos. Meet Gauri Seth, Grace Aro, Taylor Fasolo, and Tyler Shapiro. We asked them a range of questions about their Tufts experience, hoping that it might help you imagine possibilities for your own. Enjoy!

"What's the Group of Six?"
The Group of Six are a resource for students thinking about social identity, and they provide opportunitites for events, leadership, community, and discussion. Students of all identities are welcome in each center.
We'll provide you with a bigger and better introduciton to the "G6" later this summer, along with links to their brand new websites. For now, we hope you enjoy a preview of what the centers have to offer:
