Constellation Energy’s Wolf Hollow II Power facility has applied to the Texas Energy Fund to expand its facility from two stacks to 10. It has also submitted a request to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to increase air pollution emissions, including particulate matter and mercury (among other pollutants).
There will be a public hearing about Wolf Hollow's requests at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9 at the Lake Granbury Conference Center (621 E. Pearl Street). If you are unable to attend the hearing, you can also submit comments online HERE. The project's permit number is 175173.
Our Precinct 2 commissioner, county judge, and Granbury’s mayor (among others) do not want Wolf Hollow II to expand, and I encourage PPOA members to attend this public meeting and voice your concerns.
The Granbury area surrounding this plant and its expansion includes ranches, farms, homes, and churches. It is not an industrial area. Residents near Wolf Hollow already suffer from illnesses related to the pollution from a cryptocurrency mine (a $6 billion company), that resides on Wolf Hollow’s property. With the health of this community already
