A new international center will focus on the health of the world's oceans.

In a significant response to urgent climate-related threats, a new international center headquartered at the Georgia Aquarium, in partnership with Georgia Tech and endorsed by the U.N. Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, will support versatile, collaborative solutions to improve the health of the world’s oceans.
A recent conference hosted by Georgia Tech provided a taste of all the ways high schoolers could pursue a college degree in engineering and science, as well as the impact a career in engineering could have on their lives and in their communities.
The passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is a massive investment — $1.2 trillion — in the nation’s physical infrastructure systems. Georgia Tech civil engineer Iris Tien says it’s also a long-term investment in communities.
