 BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
August 13th, 8-9 am
The Breakfast of Champions is a virtual celebration of local environmental heroes who through their passion and dedication have made our community safer, cleaner, healthier, and more connected.
We are honored to have Robert Bilott, a partner at Taft Law firm and author of Exposure: Poisoned Water, Corporate Greed, and One Lawyer’s Twenty-Year Battle Against DuPont, as the keynote speaker. Rob’s story of perseverance for environmental justice was made into a motion picture blockbuster Dark Waters, starring Mark Ruffalo.
Environmental justice and the need to engage in sustainable behaviors at home, school, work, or in the community have never been more important. At the Breakfast of Champions, Aug 13th, 8-9 am, you will learn from Rob and other local leaders what we are doing to improve our environment and what you can do to make a difference in our community.

ARTS
Our Arts team is collaborating with Artworks on a series of murals called New Lines to celebrate diversity. Together with Artwork's eight youth apprentices and teaching artists, we are transforming overlooked alleyways into a vibrant artwalk. Each of the murals is designed by female Cincinnati artists, including our very own Claire Bryson and Katie Davis! The works currently in progress can be found in Coral, Drum, Goetz, and Grear Alleys.
GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP
Check out our calendar of events for upcoming volunteer opportunities. You can also register to host your own Great American Cleanup event!  When you register your event, we will help you with supplies, logistical support, and promotion to get more volunteers to join in on your efforts!
We will be hosting more small volunteer groups and safely supporting community cleanups all summer.

GREENSPACE
Our Adopt-A-Spot encourages people to improve their neighborhood by cleaning littered curbs, sidewalks, and vacant lots; cutting grass and high weeds; planting flowers; removing signs from utility poles; reporting graffiti, and other activities.

One of our Adopt-A-Spot participants, Volunteers of America, collects litter from their adopted spot in OTR on a weekly basis. It’s combined efforts like these that make all the difference and keep the block looking great. Interested in making a difference in your neighborhood?

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Illegal dumping affects all of us. Whether you see it personally or not, it impacts our environment and costs thousands of public dollars a year to clean up.

While monitoring illegal dumping hot spots, we often run into neighbors who want to share information on illegal dumping. The Hamilton County Environmental Crimes Task Force has a new Tip Form you can use to report an illegal dumping spot or other environmental crime.
