Whether during our programs, at our events, or via social media campaigns, this is your opportunity to let us know what promotional items, apparel, or fitness and wellness accessories you wish you had! Program Area Updates 

FITNESS & WELLNESS
  • GVSU received silver status for Exercise is Medicine on Campus by engaging students, faculty, and staff and promoting physical activity education initiatives.  
  • Welcome to Pete Overvoorde, our new Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness and Adaptive and Inclusive Recreation!  
  • Exam Cram is April 16-26! Check the website for updates in the coming weeks. 
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
  • Mark your calendar for the next Coffee & Climb on March 28! 
  • The Bike Shop is moving to the Ravines for the summer!
INTRAMURAL SPORTS
  • Student supervisors, Collin Howell and Zach McMahon, traveled to the University of Dayton and the University of Illinois, respectively, to officiate NIRSA regional basketball tournaments. 
CLUB SPORTS 
  • Roller Hockey Club won regionals and received a bid to the NCRHA National Championships in Fargo, North Dakota in April. 
  • Quidditch Club received a bid for the US Quidditch Cup in Texas in April to compete against teams from all over the country.
  • Our D3 Club Hockey team had six members selected to compete in the ACHA All-Star Challenge in Philadelphia next month! 
UPCOMING EVENTS

Grand Finale 5K

  • Saturday, April 14 at 9am
  • Open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Partnering with a variety of student clubs & organizations, this event provides the opportunity to support participating student organizations. Run in a cap & gown to win prizes!

Pathfinder Top-Rope Climbing Competition

  • Saturday, April 14 at 9am
  • Outdoor Adventures is hosting their 20th annual top-rope competition. Participants may compete in one of 4 categories (youth, recreational, intermediate, advanced) with both male & female divisions. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 in each category.

Fittest Lakers Competition 

  • Sunday, April 15 at 10:15am
  • Join as a team of 4 to participate in fun physical fitness challenges. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged!
  • FREE Blender Bottle to first 30 people who register!
