$200,000 in Sustainability Grants awarded to local nonprofits
Kosciusko County Community Foundation recently announced the recipients of its Nonprofit Sustainability Grants. Funded by the Community Foundation, K21 Health Foundation, and the Dekko Foundation, this one-time award will help nonprofits invest in their long-term sustainability by hiring fundraising consultants, upgrading donor management software, or boosting operating campaign contributions through match grants. The selection committee has finalized its work for the 2022 traditional scholarship cycle and recipients will begin to be notified this week. This year we are delighted to award a total of $663,400 to 173 students advancing their education. Keep a look out for the "Congratulations" yard signs, which will go up outside recipients' homes after graduation!
Grossnickle Foundation allocated $21,000 to charitble groups
The Grossnickle Foundation, a component fund of Kosciusko County Community Foundation, distributed $21,000 in grants to local organizations last month. Each year, the philanthropic arm of Grossnickle Eye Center in Warsaw asks employees to nominate charitable organizations that are close to their hearts. This year, 17 organizations benefited from the company’s generosity. The Grossnickle Foundation was established by Drs. Paul, Steve and Bruce Grossnickle to engage their employees and support charitable groups throughout the community served by Grossnickle Eye Center. READ MORE
Leap Scholarships available for local families in need
As part of the Working Together initiative, the Community Foundation partnered with Brightpoint and Launchpad to introduce the Leap Scholarship for child care for Kosciusko County residents. The program provides eligible families, where parents are working or attending school, with free or lower cost child care at registered providers. This is a privately funded scholarship and is not dependent on state voucher eligibility. Learn more HERE.
New endowment fund established to support LifeTouch Ministries 
A new permanent endowment fund has been established at Kosciusko County Community Foundation to support the ongoing work of LifeTouch Ministries and Counseling Center. Funded through an anonymous donor, this endowment will provide income to Lifetouch, or its successor agency, forever. LifeTouch Ministries was established with the mission of “helping people return to joy.” They offer faith-based counseling services led by biblically trained certified counselors and therapists.
