King County Medical society updates

Updates on the Washington Medical Commission Licence Fee Increase

The Washington Medical Commission (WMC), formerly known as MQAC, has increased the Medical License Renewal fees to a level that takes Washington to the highest medical renewal fee in the nation. Despite King County Medical Society's best efforts to argue against it, the WMC is increasing your fees. This is not acceptable.

After months of trying to work with WMC to no avail, the KCMS Board of Trustees voted to formally request a compliance audit of the WMC. Many more details to come, but KCMS is NOT done advocating for you.
