CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE MOVED TO MACMILLAN HALL

The Confucius Institute will hold an open house for faculty and staff to view the new space. Details will be announced at a later date.

IUC RISK SYMPOSIUM

Our very own Nicole Collins, Associate Director of Study Abroad and Away, spoke on a panel at the IUC Risk Symposium in Columbus on April 12, 2018. 
"Several of us from the study abroad team attended the IUC Risk Symposium, along with colleagues from across Ohio. It was a great opportunity to engage with colleagues about health and safety abroad, and we picked up a lot of useful information and resources from our partners." – Nicole Collins

VISIT TO CHRIST UNIVERSITY IN BANGALORE

Last month, Karla Guinigundo, Director of Global Partnerships, traveled to India with seven faculty members from Department of Education, Health, and Society to explore partnership possibilities with Christ University in Bangalore. The group received an orientation to the CU Center for Social Action and visited several of the CSA community development projects. Karla also visited St. John's National Academy of Health Sciences, to explore possible preceptorship placements for Miami University's pre-medical students, and the US India Educational Foundation in New Delhi.

  • Grew up with international exchange students living in her house, hence her interest in international students and study abroad.
  • Laura and her brother were both exchange students during junior year of high school.
