Town Hall May 1: Featuring Chancellor Rich Lyons!

We invite you to our May 2025 Alumni Chapter Leader Town Hall. We will kick off the Town Hall with a special guest —Chancellor Rich Lyons! The Chancellor is excited to attend and will be giving updates about the current climate and the direction for alumni engagement. The remainder of time will include Summer Welcome Parties information and break-out rooms to collaborate and share ideas with your fellow chapter leaders. Register to Volunteer for The Achievement Award Program & The Leadership Award Scholarship

Cal Alumni Association's Alumni Scholars Program invites you to participate in the 2025 selection season!

We need your support in selecting the new incoming cohort to participate in The Achievement Award Program (TAAP) and receive The Leadership Award (TLA). You can assist our future scholars by reading applications, joining interview events, and welcoming the new cohort class.

It’s easier than ever to volunteer with the Alumni Scholars Program! All of our application reviews and interview events can be accessed virtually, so alums can volunteer from anywhere in the world. Volunteering is also a great way to reconnect with fellow alums and create positive progress at UC Berkeley.

An Evening with NBA Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Join us for an unforgettable evening with basketball legend, social justice champion, and New York Times bestselling author Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the release of his latest book, We All Want to Change the World: My Journey Through Social Justice Movements from the 1960s to Today.

In conversation with Abdul-Jabbar will be Dr. Harry Edwards, renowned sociologist and civil rights activist best known for his work advocating for the rights of Black athletes. He is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at UC Berkeley and a consultant to professional sports teams on issues of diversity and inclusion.

This is more than a book launch—it’s a moment to reflect, be inspired, and recommit to the change we all want to see. All registered attendees will receive a copy of the book.

Replacement Diplomas

The UC Berkeley Office of the Registrar offers free replacements for diplomas lost or damaged in a fire. In wake of the recent fires in Los Angeles, you may submit a request via email to diplomas@berkeley.edu with the following information:

Name
SID
Graduation year
Major
Mailing address
Phone number
Email address
Fire area

The Registrar will send the new diploma in 8-10 weeks. For all other diploma requests, please refer to the Registrar's website for more information.
