SCHULICH ALUMNI NEWSLETTERJanuary 2023
| |
Dear Schulich Alumni:
Greetings from Schulich and best wishes to you and your loved ones in the New Year ahead!
With the worst of the pandemic now finally behind us, we are making a greater effort to meet in person with our worldwide alumni family. As a result, later this month we’ll be visiting alumni in our Mumbai, New Delhi and San Francisco chapters, and early next month we’ll meet with alumni in Los Angeles. In addition, we’re hosting various industry mixers here in Toronto and will announce the date for our Annual Alumni Forum – CONNECT ’23 – in our February newsletter. I’m very much looking forward to meeting alumni across the world – it will be, in many cases, for the first time since becoming Dean.
We’re also very excited about the rebranding of our Alumni Relations unit under the direction of Executive Director Christina Niederwanger. The newly named Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement better reflects our objective going forward of intensifying engagement and involvement on the part of our 34,000 graduates across the globe while at the same time making Schulich more relevant and important to the lives of our alumni.
On that note, I’m delighted to share with you that we’re relaunching our highly regarded Alumni2Student Mentorship program later this month. Please see more information about the program further below, and a big thank you to those of you who have agreed to participate as mentors. I encourage you to also learn more about our Alumni2Alumni Mentorship program which is a wonderful opportunity for our alumni community to support one other.
Another priority this semester will be to finalize our School’s new Strategic Mission & Plan, and I wish to thank all those alumni who provided input and contributed innovative ideas over the past year. Loyal and engaged alumni like you make our School special and enrich the learning experience for our students.
I look forward to meeting many of you in the year ahead here in Toronto and around the world, and I wish you all a happy, healthy and productive 2023.
Sincerely,
Detlev Zwick, PhD
Dean & Tanna H. Schulich Chair in Digital Marketing Strategy
