Student ORg Update January 31, 2025

Hello Student Leaders,  A few important reminders and opportunities below! Important Dates & Deadlines Friday, April 11th: Last day to submit an event registration form for any fall events or travel Friday, April 11th: Last day to make space reservations in ReserveTufts. Reservation must be placed by 4:30pm. Student Organizations will lose access to the system after this deadline. Tuesday, April 29: Last day to host any student organization events or meetings Mandatory 2025-2026 TCU Treasury Budget Training | February 4th & 6th Mandatory budget training sessions for TCU-funded organizations will take place on Tuesday, February 4th and Thursday, February 6th from 7-8 PM in the ASEAN Auditorium in Cabot. All Treasurers and Presidents must attend one of the offered sessions.  During this training, Treasury will go over the timeline, process, and provide tips for successful budgeting. If your organization does not send 2 representatives from your e-board, TCU Treasury will not accept your budget for the 2025-2026 academic year.  TCU Budget Timeline Budget Training Meetings Tuesday, February 4th February  | 7pm-8pm | ASEAN Auditorium Thursday, February 6th | 7pm-8pm | ASEAN Auditorium Council-Wide Intro Meeting  February 12th-18th  Preliminary Budget Due Friday, February 28th Budgets must be submitted as Excel files via email to your Council Chair and the TCU Treasury (tcutreasury@tufts.edu). Individual Meetings With Council Chair March 1st - April 9th Allocations Board Review Wednesday, April 16th Budget Day Sunday, April 20th 2025 Re-Recognition Student organizations that are TCUJ recognized will be evaluated for their annual TCUJ re-recognization using their current JumboLife organization profiles. In order to ensure the TCUJ is able to re-recognzie your organization, please be sure that your full roster is updated, your most recent constitution has been added, and all events* have been registered by February 15th. Follow these directions to manage your organization's JumboLife profile.  *If your organization held an event that was not submitted in JumboLife, please follow these instructions for back-dating: Submit the Event Registration and select the date the event was held on, a year in the future In the "Additional Details" section at the end of the form, make a note that this event needs to be back-dated and include the date and time of the actual event   Club sports, fraternities and sororities, SMFA SGA sub-groups, LCS sub groups, as well as non-TCU recognized department sponsored organizations do not need to complete the annual TCUJ re-recognition process.  2025 Student Organization Awards Let's celebrate your organization's accomplishments during the fall semester! The Tufts Community Union Judiciary Board is now accepting nominations for the annual student organization awards at https://go.tufts.edu/2025orgawards. Nominations are due April 2nd, 2025. Submit your fall programs now while they're fresh in your mind! The annual Student Organization Award Ceremony will take place in April.
