Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition

Registration deadline February 2020
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition where PhD candidates present their doctoral research to a non-specialist audience using only a single visual aid—all in three minutes. This exercise encourages graduate students to think about their research from an outsider’s perspective, hones their presentation skills, and provides a forum for a cross-disciplinary exchange of exciting ideas and information. Finalists will compete at the annual Mason Graduate Interdisciplinary Conference on Friday, March 27, 2020, for over $2,000 in prize monies.

Registration for the 2020 3MT® competition opens in December 2019. Doctoral students who have advanced to candidacy by the registration deadline (February 2020) are eligible to participate.
For more information and online registration, visit the 3MT® page or email the Office of Graduate Education
