Oasis Friend,
Across the continent, Oasis is witnessing God move through partnerships, innovation, and cultural connection. From launching Bibles in supermarkets in Kinshasa to empowering youth pastors in Cameroon, we’re seeing lives transformed through access to God’s Word in relevant contexts. Leaders like Rev. Why Duvenhage in South Africa are customizing Bibles for law enforcement, while Bible study groups in Johannesburg are reaching their communities with hope. In Nairobi, our presence at the Sunday Marketplace is opening doors to reach thousands more. Together, we are amplifying the Gospel and building a generation rooted in truth. Thank you for praying, giving, and journeying with us.

Amplifying the Gospel Through Cultural Relevance |
|
|
Dr. Emmanuel Tangumonkem, National Youth Secretary for Full Gospel Mission Cameroon, shares how discovering La Bible d'étude: perspectives africaines or BEPA, the French edition of the Africa Study Bible, has transformed his ministry.
As a youth pastor and chaplain, Dr. Tangumonkem was deeply impacted by BEPA’s integration of African cultural perspectives—something he had long searched for. “This Bible is practical,” he says, “and helps me speak to people from their own stories.”
He emphasizes the need for Scripture study notes that resonate with local realities. He now advocates for wider access to culturally relevant Bibles, believing they can equip a new generation of pastors and community leaders across Africa.

Cameroon has two language zones: the Anglophone and Francophone. Many Biblical resources are available in English but not in French. The BEPA is a precious resource. Dr Emmanuel believes he is the only one who has it in the North West where he preaches.
You can help make Dr Tangumonkem's vision of equipping leaders across Africa with Bibles a reality. Your gift today can put culturally resonant Bibles like BEPA and the Africa Study Bible into the hands of more leaders, empowering them to connect Scripture with the hearts of their communities.
