Position Organization Changes & Costing |
As we continue working in Workday, it's important to be aware of how position organization changes can impact payroll costing. When an employee moves to a new position, the costing may not automatically carry over from the prior position. Instead, costing may default based on the new organization's set up.
|
As best practice any time a position change occurs, be sure to review the costing to ensure payroll expenses continue to post to the correct cost center, grant, or funding source. Taking this extra step helps prevent downstream corrections and ensures accurate financial reporting.
