Here's your news for February from on and off campus. If you've ever felt like your life has been spinning in circles, well, so did Carleton students a few weeks ago, when the the Student Activities Programming Board hosted an ice rink bumper car event on the Bald Spot. By contrast, President Byerly has not been letting things slide — see her op-ed in the Washington Post — and neither have athletes; the men's and women's swimming and diving teams triumphed over St. Olaf on Senior Day, men's tennis is off to a strong 6-1 start, and men's and women's Ultimate Frisbee teams have been putting their opponents on ice. Alumni have won some pretty cool recognition too, including Kao Kalia Yang ’03 and Hannah Burcaw ’19 and Faith Agboola ’24. Whether you've been just chilling out or doing the polar opposite, do stay in touch, and read on for more news from Carleton and beyond.
