Dear Colleague,
With the launch of the Scholarly Publishing Collective platform approaching in January, I would like to invite you to preview the platform and begin certain administrative functions. The new platform, managed by Duke University Press (DUP), will host journal content from four partner publishers that are leaving the JSTOR Journal Hosting Program starting in January 2022. These publishers are University of Illinois Press, Michigan State UP, Penn State UP, and SBL Press.
Please take a look around this site as a user or reader would, search for articles, etc., and report any errors or bugs you encounter. All content is temporarily free to access until March 31, 2022.
While the content site is new, the Scholarly Publishing Collective and the DUP read.dukeupress.edu site share the existing library administration interface. Now you will be able to see your Collective-hosted holdings here as well as DUP holdings. Please note that the log-in screen on the admin dashboard will be updated in the coming months to indicate that the interface is shared between DUP and the Collective (currently only DUP's logo appears).
Login credentials: Use your institution's existing DUP Read admin login
A separate email with your username has been sent to the admin email addresses in our records for your institution, if there is one. If you are unsure of your credentials, please contact scholarlypublishingcollective@dukeupress.edu.
Please refer to the launch checklist for the complete timeline and suggested tasks to ensure uninterrupted access for your patrons. We would especially like your attention to these tasks during this preview period:
Confirm your journal entitlements in the Admin Dashboard. Compare your holdings from the JSTOR Journal Hosting Program to the entitlement list as it appears in the Collective Admin Dashboard. You will be able to confirm access after the access grace period ends on March 31, 2022. Until then all content is free to access.
Verify your library administration account information. Check your IPs, contact information, username, and email address.
The content site will launch to the public on January 3, 2022, and we will be in touch again at that time.
Best regards,
Kim Steinle
