1. July is a month of special happenings at Deermeadows.
This past Sunday we celebrated a great MissionJax when over 200 people at Deermeadows joined together to serve our city in a variety of projects. As you read this, a group of children and adults are at CentriKid learning how to grow in Jesus. This Saturday, a large group of our students and adults are heading to Mobile, AL to serve that city by repairing homes damaged by hurricanes last year. Please pray for big things to happen in people’s lives as they witness Jesus at work through His people in all of these special happenings.
2.  At Deermeadows, we believe it is important to CONNECT RELATIONALLY so we can support and encourage each other in following Jesus. Sometimes we need to connect just to have fun! Join us Sunday, July 25 at Bowl America Mandarin at 4:30pm. REGISTER HERE to bowl, OR... come just to hang out, play table games, and have fun with others in our church community. This is a great time to invite a friend!
3. Finally, this Sunday, we say a kind of “goodbye” to Ansley Alfano, our Kids Pastor.  We are so grateful for what she has done for our children and families. She has shared her many talents with our church to bless us in many ways.  BUT WAIT--there’s good news! Ansley and her family will continue to be an active part of Deermeadows even as she transitions to a new chapter that allows her more time with her family. Thank you Ansley for who you are and what you have done. You are loved and appreciated!

Hello DBC friends-
I want to take this brief moment and say farewell to the members of Deermeadows Baptist Church, and the staff in particular as today I wrap up my tenure at Deermeadows. It has been my great pleasure to serve this local body for many years – the most recent years as Production Director.  As God relocates me to a new task, I know I will be missing many of you with whom I have become special friends through the years, and missing everyone as brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray for God’s continued blessings on the people of this fellowship, as I know you will remember Donna and I in your prayers during this time of transition for us.  
Here's to old friends and new beginnings!
