Take a Moment to Recognize a PDX Employee 
Do you know a coworker or fellow PDX employee who goes above and beyond? Acknowledge their outstanding efforts during the fourth quarter of 2020 (September through December) by nominating them for a quarterly customer service award!
The process is simple – submit a nomination nowPlease provide a real-life example of how your nominee has delighted a passenger with outstanding service. Inclusion of customer compliments is always encouraged!
Every nominee will receive special appreciation for their outstanding efforts and the PDX People working committee will select 10 employees – one from each of our airport industries – to win the exceptional honor of a PDX Quarterly Award for customer service.

Crystal Channel Saves the Day
Your Northwest Travel Mart, an affiliate of Paradies Lagardère, has long been known for extraordinary customer service. Never has this been better exemplified than by Crystal Channel, zone manager for retail operations, who is an amazing part of our PDX People team. Proving that not all heroes wear capes, Crystal used her kindness, critical thinking skills and little bit of internet sleuthing to turn a distraught passenger's day around. Read the full article.
Concourse Connector Closes Next Tuesday, Jan. 5
The walkway that connects the south and north sides of the airport – Concourses B/C and Concourses D/E – closes next Tuesday, Jan. 5 and will remain closed until the new main terminal opens in late 2023. Learn more about this change and other PDX Next impacts.

Artist Shohei Takasaki Reflects on Junishi for Concourse D Mural 
The PDX Rotating Art Program recently unveiled a lively large-scale mural post-security on Concourse D, designed to help ring in the new year.
Living and working in Tokyo, Japan, artist Shohei Takasaki energetically depicts the 12 symbolic animals of Junishi (or Juunishi) – the Japanese zodiac – within his mural entitled "Reflection." Read more about the exhibit on our PDX Art blog.
Only in 2020: A Year Like No Other at PDX
How many times have you said, “Only in 2020!” this year any time a new, unimaginable story pops up? Pandemic. Murder hornets. Wildfires. This has truly been a trying and difficult year for our region.
Still, despite everything that 2020 has thrown at us, we’re inspired by the many ways our PDX People, partners and colleagues have gone above and beyond to lift up those around them. As we close out 2020, take some time to read and remember these moments of kindness.
