COUNTRY NEWCOMER
PATRICK DARRAH
SET TO DEBUT NEW SINGLE "I NEVER GOT OVER YOU"
A Vulnerable Perspective On Letting Go Of “The One That Got Away”
Coming To Country Radio December 5, 2017

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 16, 2017) – Independent country recording artist, Patrick Darrah, will release his debut single, titled I Never Got Over You,* to country radio in December. Impacting on December 5, 2017 (PlayMpe 11/28/17), the track comes as an early preview to Darrah’s forthcoming CD (NORTHERN TRUTH) anticipated in early spring 2018 from his newly formed label Double Darrah Entertainment.
Written by Brad Wolf and Don Goodman, the track features Music Row A-listers with special guitar performances by James Mitchell (Cole Swindell/Alison Krauss/LoCash/ Colt Ford); Robby Turner on pedal steel (Chris Stapleton/Waylon Jennings/Loretta Lynn/The Highway Men) and background vocals sung by Monty Allen (Alan Jackson/Strayhorns). Darrah gravitated toward the relatable lyrics amidst personal circumstances that “hit home;” the storyline spears the agony of heartbreak and the battle to let go and move on. Darrah sets the conflicted tone with a contrast between vulnerability and intensitypairing honest, exposed lyrics with a driven, upbeat tempo. He paints the picture of love and loss, regret and fond recollection, and settling with an uncomfortable newfound freedom.

I never got over you
I never came close
After all that we’ve been through
I just couldn’t let go
To tell the truth I never wanted to, I never got over you

"The message of this track foreshadows the theme of the entire new album (NORTHERN TRUTH) and what I was going through when I was writing and selecting songs to record for the project," Patrick Darrah said. "'I Never Got Over You' said everything I wanted to say. Word-for-word, it said what I was feeling; I felt a personal connection to the lyrics."
Long, lean and a little rough around the edges, Darrah’s debut is alternatively sentimental and telling. Hailing from a small town in Bloomingdale, NY, Darrah earned his living as a skilled auto body artist. He was raised on the country music legends (such as Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, George Straight and Gary Allen) that echoed between the cement walls of the family body shop. In early 2017, he put down the tools and picked up his guitar to pursue his dream in Nashville—launching his own independent entertainment company Double Darrah Entertainment. The debut single reveals Darrah’s appreciation for rich storytelling and his gravitation toward contagious, memorable melodies.
Dan Hagar, Mach3 Entertainment Group, will spearhead the radio promotion campaign. The track will be available via all major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/iTunes/Pandora/Rhapsody/Spotify) on 11/27/2017; digital retail distribution services will be provided by Ed Gertler, Digital Delivery Services.
