Welcome to the CHDCM Dean’s biweekly newsletter! I hope that you’ve all survived this past weekend’s storm as well as possible, and that you’re enjoying the sunny weather that has arrived in its wake! (Apologies for this newsletter’s delay—dealing with some of the aftermath myself yesterday….)
It may seem hard to believe, but the Fall semester is already in full swing, October is just around the corner—and, with it, the Hall Homecoming & Family Weekend coming up in a few days! Campus will be buzzing with activity, just like always, and there are a host of fantastic events that I encourage you all to take advantage of—including our College’s proud hosting of the Brownson Speech & Debate 40th Anniversary Celebration! I look forward to seeing many of you this weekend, if not before!
As you move through the week, though, check out the articles below to learn more about some of the wonderful, talented people of CHDCM. You’ll also see announcements of upcoming events, and other opportunities to get involved in the many organizations and initiatives within our College—so scroll down and enjoy. And, as always, please keep your good news and event notes coming. Hope to see you this weekend!

Student Organization Highlight |
As a co-curricular activity of the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media's B.A. in Theatre program, Seton Hall Theatre offers a wide variety of theatrical opportunities for students including the faculty and guest directed main-stage productions, as well as student productions produced by the Theatre Council.
Students from any major are encouraged to audition for productions, join crew roles, and sign up for membership with the student organization, the SHU Theatre Council.
The Council plays a significant role in helping to develop theatre at Seton Hall. It produces student-led projects throughout the year and builds a sense of community between actors and crew alike.
Theatre "Shop Hours" take place every Friday and are a great way to get involved, as we build and paint sets and work on technical projects for our shows! 12-4pm in the University Center Theatre
