DEERMEADOWS NEW HEALTH SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Starting Sunday, May 16 we will begin new protocols for health safety. This decision follows multiple meetings with the Medical Advisory Team, the Ministry Staff and Deacons.
If all goes well and cases do not spike, we expect further adjustments to be made no later than mid-June.
MASKS
People are welcome to remove their masks when seated in Bible study, worship or other activities. Please continue to wear masks when moving around on campus (hallways, bathrooms, etc.).
DISTANCING
Maintain a three-foot distance between people not in your household.
WORSHIP
The number of worship leaders on the platform will be maximized to the extent they are able to remain distanced: 3 feet side-to-side with 6 feet in front of each other (the front to back distance is based on singing and aerosolized particles).
GREETINGS
Please continue to greet one another with elbow bumps, virtual high fives or other creative ways at this time.
THE DATE
The start date of Sunday, May 16 is arrived at by calculating when all Floridians have had an opportunity to receive the vaccine plus the short period following that is needed for the vaccine to be fully effective.
Again, barring an unexpected spike in cases, we expect to relax protocols further by mid-June.
YOU...
THANK YOU for the sacrifices you have made for the safety of others during these past 13 months.
This has not been a marathon – it’s been an ultra-marathon (these runs are super long, 50 miles and more – look it up) and you’ve handled it with dignity, grace, and Christlikeness. I am very proud and honored to serve at Deermeadows.
